CONCERNING
AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE No. 56/M-DAG/PER/12/2008 CONCERNING PROVISION ON IMPORT OF PARTICULAR PRODUCT

THE MINISTER OF TRADE OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA,

Considering:

• a. that to support effectiveness in the implementation of policy on import of some particular products it is necessary to make amendment to Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 56/M-DAG/PER/12/2008 concerning Provision for Import of Particular Products;
• b. that based on the consideration as intended in a, it is necessary to stipulate Regulation of the Minister of Trade;

In view of:

• 12. Presidential Regulation No. 10/2005 concerning Organizational Unit and Duty of Echelon I of Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia as amended several times, the latest by Presidential Regulation No. 21/2008;
• 13. Decision of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 229/MPP/Kep/7/1997 concerning General Provision in Import;
• 14. Decision of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 141/MPP/Kep/3/2002 concerning Importer's Special Identification Number (NPIK) as amended by Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 07/M-DAG/PER/3/2008;
• 15. Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 01/M-DAG/PER/3/2005 concerning Organization and Working Procedure of the Ministry of Trade as amended several times, the latest by Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 34/M-DAG/PER/8/2007;
• 16. Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 31/M-DAG/PER/7/2007 concerning Importer's Identification Number (API);
• 17. Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 15/M-DAG/PER/5/2008 concerning Provision on Import of Textile and Textile Products;
• 18. Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 56/M-DAG/PER/12/2008 concerning Provision on Import of Particular Products;

HAS DECIDED:

To stipulate:

REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA CONCERNING AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE No. 56/M-DAG/PER/12/2008 CONCERNING IMPORT OF PARTICULAR PRODUCTS.

Article I

The provision in Article 5 of Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 56/M-DAG/PER/12/2008 concerning Provision on Import of Particular Products is amended so as to read as follows:

"Article 5

(1) Import of Particular Product by Particular Products IT may be made only through the ports of destination mentioned below:

• a. Belawan Sea Port in Medan, Tanjung Priok in Jakarta, Tanjung Emas in Semarang, Tanjung Perak in Surabaya, Soekarno Hatta in Makassar and Dumai in Dumai; and/or
• b. all international airports.

(1a) Import of Particular Products by Particular Products IT made through Dumai sea port are only for food and beverage products.

(2) Import of Particular Products for the need of free trade zone and free port shall be governed according to the provisions in the statutory regulation on free trade zone and free ports."

Article II

This Regulation of the Minister shall take effect on January 1, 2009 and shall expire on December 31, 2010.

For public cognizance, this Regulation of the Minister of Trade shall be announced by placing it in the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia.
